1 Content Policy Overview
Noogul is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and legal platform for all authors and readers. This Content Policy outlines what is and isn't allowed on our platform.
By publishing on Noogul, you agree to comply with all content guidelines described below. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
We support creative freedom while maintaining a safe environment. We review content fairly and provide opportunities to address concerns before taking action.
2 Your Content Rights
You own your content. Noogul does not claim ownership of any Author Content you upload.
- You retain full copyright to your manuscripts, cover art, and metadata
- You grant Noogul a non-exclusive license to distribute your content
- You can remove your content at any time (subject to existing orders)
- You can publish elsewhere simultaneously (except third-party distribution)
3 Originality Requirements
All content published on Noogul must be original work created by you or your team. You must:
- Be the original author or have legal rights to publish the content
- Not publish plagiarized, copied, or pirated material
- Not publish content that infringes on trademarks, copyrights, or other IP rights
- Properly attribute any public domain or Creative Commons content
Accounts found publishing infringing content will be immediately suspended. Repeat infringers will be permanently banned. We cooperate with DMCA takedown requests.
4 AI-Generated Content
Noogul allows AI-assisted content with proper disclosure:
- AI-generated text: Must be disclosed in the book description and metadata
- AI-narrated audiobooks: Noogul may produce AI-narrated versions with up to 3 proofs provided
- AI cover art: Must be disclosed; you must have commercial rights to the AI-generated images
- Hybrid content: If AI was used as a starting point, you must substantially edit and refine the work
Undisclosed AI-generated content may be removed and your account may be suspended.

- Automated checks: Scanning for known copyrighted material and prohibited content
- Manual review: Our team reviews flagged content within 24-48 hours
- Appeals: You may appeal content removal decisions within 14 days

1 Refund Overview
Noogul offers refunds in specific circumstances. This policy covers payments made to Noogul for custom services, ISBNs, and other fees.
If we cannot deliver the service you paid for, you will receive a full refund. We stand behind the quality of our work.
2 Custom Services Refunds
Refunds for custom services depend on the stage of work:
- Before work starts: 100% refund — full amount returned
- Work in progress: 50% refund — partial amount returned based on work completed
- Work delivered: No refund — service has been fulfilled
- Revision requests: Up to 2 free revisions included; additional revisions may incur fees
3 ISBN & Non-Refundable Fees
The following are non-refundable:
- ISBN fee ($5.99): Non-refundable once assigned to your book
- Platform fees: 35% commission on sales (deducted from revenue)
- Printing costs: Non-refundable for books already printed and delivered
- Shipping fees: Non-refundable for orders already in transit
4 Print Quality Refunds
For print-on-demand quality issues:
- Damaged books: Free reprint or refund if reported within 30 days
- Printing defects: Free reprint with photos as evidence
- Wrong specifications: Free reprint if error was on our end
- Customer complaints: We work with you to resolve issues promptly

5 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:

- Step 2: Include your order number, reason for refund, and any supporting evidence
- Step 3: Our team will review within 3-5 business days
- Step 4: Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
1 Acceptable Use Overview
Noogul provides a platform for self-publishing authors. We expect all users to use the platform responsibly and ethically. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines prohibited behaviors and usage restrictions.
2 Account Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Not share your account with others
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Promptly report any unauthorized access
3 Prohibited Activities
You may NOT:
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the platform
- Manipulate reviews or ratings (fake reviews, review bombing)
- Engage in price manipulation or fraudulent transactions
- Spam other users or send unsolicited communications
- Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
- Use the platform to compete with Noogul by scraping data
4 Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Warning: For minor first-time violations
- Content removal: For policy-violating content
- Account suspension: Temporary restriction of platform access
- Account termination: Permanent ban for serious or repeated violations
- Legal action: For illegal activities or significant harm
We follow a fair enforcement process: warning first, escalation for repeat offenders. You will be notified of any enforcement action taken against your account.
